LONGi Solar has released its new Hi-RO Onyx premium module at the Solar Solutions event in the Netherlands. Designed for use in all rooftop applications, the module is based on the company’s proprietary monocrystalline wafer and adopts LONGi’s innovative solar cell and module technology to deliver the highest efficiency and reliability. The cell is half-cut with Zero Busbar (ZBB) technology and has no visible busbars.
The Onyx module excels where high power generation is required in limited rooftop space and where aesthetics are important. Maximum power reaches 400Wp and efficiency is up to 22.2%.
The Onyx series includes two monofacial products. The 390Wp full-black version (HTB) has aesthetics that complement the typical rooftops of European homes, while the standard version (HTH), with white backsheet, maximizes power output to 400Wp.
Onyx modules have a 25 year product warranty and achieve outstanding energy generation due to the Zero Busbar technology, with maximum light capture and low reflection, low power degradation (first year 1.5%, linear degradation 0.5%), low temperature coefficient (0.29%/°C) and excellent low irradiation performance.

At launch, Onyx will be available in the Netherlands and northern Europe.
