LONGi founder and president Li Zhenguo has met with Mohammad Abunayyan, chairman of ACWA Power, and his team in the Chinese city of Guangzhou, the two sides reaching wide-ranging agreement on extending strategic cooperation in the field of clean energy.

Li set out the LONGi vision of technological innovation and a focus on building business in the five areas of monocrystalline wafers, cells and modules, industrial and commercial PV solutions, power station solutions and hydrogen energy systems. The company has, he said, evolved into a provider of Green Electricity + Green Hydrogen products and solutions that contribute to the worldwide zero-carbon goal. He also confirmed LONGi’s strong commitment to deploying cutting-edge technology and products to support ACWA’s clean energy projects in Saudi Arabia.

For his part, Abunayyan discussed ACWA Power’s overall business development strategy. The company is a world-leading developer, investor and operator of electric power and renewable energy, seawater desalination and green hydrogen energy and is an active promoter of the Kingdom’s “Vision 2030” goals. He went on to congratulate LONGi on the successful delivery of modules for the 406MW Red Sea project last year and added that the company had already made a significant contribution to “Vision 2030”.
