Phase 1 of VSUN’s silicon wafer business unit’s 4GW project has commenced production at its Vietnam base with the manufacture of its first 182.2*182.2mm N-type wafer. Construction of the base had commenced in November of last year, covering a total area of over 132,000㎡, with full production scheduled for the end of April. The project marks a significant advancement in the VSUN Group’s strategic layout towards the development of its own integrated industry chain.
The new facility uses the industry’s most advanced equipment and technological process routes and operates under a Japanese quality management system. Stringent operations management is implemented to maximize productivity and minimize costs, while producing goods of the highest quality and sustainability, the finished crystal cut, polished and sawn into wafers according to customer specifications.
VSUN has signed a strategic supply deal with one of the world’s leaders in polysilicon production, with its partner providing the company with international standard low-carbon silicon materials. Going forward, leveraging the advantages of a vertically integrated supply chain layout, VSUN aims to enable customers to both reduce costs and enhance efficiency.
