Solland Solar is planning to start commercial sales of its ‘Sunweb’ modules, using ‘metal wrap through’ (MWT) solar cells in the fourth quarter of 2011. The company noted that it had already delivered and had installed modules to reference projects in both the UK and the Netherlands, with further projects in the pipeline for the target markets of Italy, France, Belgium and Germany.
Targeting the ‘premium market,’ Solland Solar’s modules use 60 MWT cells that are claimed to give approximately 6% more performance on 4% less surface. The multicrystalline Sunweb modules achieve 250Wp with an efficiency of 16%.
Solland Solar is exhibiting the modules at its booth at Intersolar Europe in Hall A3, Booth 110 and will conduct a presentation on Sunweb technology on Wednesday, June 8, at the Intersolar Innovation Exchange in Hall B2, Booth 2.550.
