Chinese PV manufacturer Risen Energy is to provide solar modules for a 261MW PV project pipeline being developed by local developer OPDEnergy in Spain.
Zhao Zelin, vice president of sales at Risen Energy, said: "Even when the delivery schedule is tight, we will guarantee the high quality of our components and services across the board."
Luis Cid, CEO at OPDE said: "The reasons why we chose Risen Energy as our partner for this European project include the firm's rapid expansion worldwide and sound financial management backed by strong innovation and R&D capabilities. We believe Risen Energy's international experience over the past several years will prove beneficial to our collaboration and, at the same time, lay a solid foundation for future joint efforts."
A Risen release described Spain as its "staging ground" for its activities in both Europe and Latin America.
The business of solar is changing, as the industry scales up, technology, IT and new players to the market will add complexity. This sparks a host of opportunities such as co-location of solar and storage and the rise of unsubsidised solar projects as well as challenges which will question the very business model of European solar asset owners. Solar Finance & Investment Europe is the meeting place for institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, solar, wind and storage funds and large energy buyers to do business.
