Solar FlexRack to provide materials for 50MW community solar pipeline in Minnesota

Solar FlexRack, a subsidiary of Northern States Metals and solar tracker, racking and services solutions company, announced Tuesday that its G3P fixed-tilt racking has been selected for a 50MW pipeline of PV projects in Minnesota.

The pipeline features nine community solar projects under development by SunShare.

Solar FlexRack’s pre-assembled racking system was selected for its speed and ease of installation — which helps cut down on labor time and overall solar project costs.

Two of the community solar projects — the 4.04MW WakeSun installation and 6.9MW BentonSun project — are already installed and producing clean energy for their local communities.

The BentonSun Community Solar Garden is owned by Benton Sun, LLC, while the WakeSun Community Solar Garden is owned by WakeSun LLC, and managed by Real Capital Solutions, an investment firm based out of Colorado.
