US crystalline silicon solar cells and modules, Suniva, has announced that Sunetric has been named as Hawaii’s first elite dealer of the Optimus line of Suniva’s solar modules.

“We’re excited to be Hawaii’s only dealer of Suniva’s modules, which contain some of the most sought after technology in the industry,” said Alex Tiller, Sunetric CEO. “We’re especially proud to be promoting modules made with more than 80% American materials. Our customers are the true beneficiaries of this partnership with Suniva, because of their record setting efficiencies and affordability.”

Suniva’s Optimus modules consist of its latest cell technology: ARTisun Select. These crystalline solar cells are designed and manufactured in the US using ion implantation. Suniva claims this to be the most affordable, highest-efficiency 60 and 72 cell modules on the market. All of Suniva’s modules consist of marine grade aluminium and are salt-spray tested.

“Utilizing proprietary and state-of-the-art processing techniques, Suniva continues to lead the industry with high-efficiency, low-cost solar products,” said John Baumstark, chairman and chief executive officer of Suniva. “We’re proud to partner with Sunetric in Hawaii – providing commercial and residential customers with US solar technology that generates the highest efficiencies in its class.”

Suniva's high-efficiency modules carry a 10-year workmanship warranty and a 25-year linear power performance warranty, guaranteeing that solar module power output shall not decrease by more than 0.7% per year after the initial year of service. Suniva Optimus modules contain more than 80% US content and comply with “Buy American” requirements.

Sunetric will be exhibiting Suniva’s modules at the BIA Home Building and Remodeling Show 2012, held at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center Exhibition Hall, from January 27 – 29. Sunetric will be located in booths 320C, 322, 421C and 423.
