Order Focus: DEGERenergie supplies Convergence Energy with trackers for 1MW solar farm in Wisconsin

Convergence Energy’s 1MW solar farm in Delavan, Wisconsin is underway, and DEGERenergie has supplied 114 of its MLD tracking systems of the DEGERtraker 6000NT for the project. Fifteen of these systems have already been implemented at the Delavan location, with the remaining 99 planned for installation over the coming weeks.

DEGERenergie has recently reported on the increased global interest in its MLD technologies, having experienced a successful first half of 2011. The company has installed close to 45,000 systems, and is optimistic for its future sales figures.

Commenting on the developments, Michael Heck, vice president of sales and marketing at DEGERenergie said, “At the moment, there are two parallel developments on the world market that are strengthening the solar industry: first, the discussion about future energy supply that has never been stronger than today and shift towards renewable energies that is connected with it; second, the ever-rising energy prices. The combination of both leads to an increasing interest in solar technology from home owners, companies, governments, cities and investors.”
