Perovskite solar cell developer Oxford Photovoltaics (PV) said it had moved both its headquarters and R&D operations to a new site in the university city of Oxford.

Perovskite solar cell developer Oxford Photovoltaics (PV) said it had moved both its headquarters and R&D operations to a new site in the university city of Oxford.

The new 25,000 sq ft site locates all UK operations under one roof and provides capability to expand R&D and commercialisation programs, which already include the company’s pilot line, in Brandenburg an der Havel in Germany.

Frank P. Averdung, Oxford PV’s CEO, said: “Oxford PV is well ahead in commercialising its perovskite photovoltaic solution, which has the potential to enable performance gains that will transform the economics of silicon photovoltaic technology globally. Our teams in the UK and Germany have collaboratively made tremendous progress to transfer our technology from our lab to our industrial scale pilot line, and our new, improved R&D facility in Oxford will help to further accelerate this process.”
