Recurrent Energy has completed a 10MW solar project in Ontario, the twentieth, and final, in a 220MW portfolio.
The 10MW Sunningdale solar farm has now been acquired by Fengate Capital Management upon completion.
“Solar facilities like Sunningdale offer attractive long-term returns to our clients and help our country meet its energy needs sustainably,” said George Theodoropoulos, managing director, infrastructure, Fengate Capital.
The project will sell electricity to the Ontario Power Authroity (OPA) for the next 20 years under the province’s feed-in tariff.
“The completion of the Sunningdale solar project is the final exclamation mark in a historic year for Recurrent Energy,” said Arno Harris, CEO, Recurrent Energy. “Completing our 220MW Ontario portfolio represents years of hard work and collaboration with our financial partners and numerous stakeholders in Ontario and local communities.”
