India-based renewables developer Avaada Group has raised US$1 billion from asset owner Brookfield Renewable to fund the growth of its renewable energy platform in India.

Renewable Energy asset owner Brookfield Renewable has signed an agreement to acquire Origin Energy Limited, with a view to expanding its renewables generation capacity across Australia in the next decade

Brookfield Renewable acquires a 50% stake in renewable developer X-Elio from its joint venture partner and investment firm KKR. 

Renewables asset owner Brookfield Renewable has reported 2022 net income of US$138 million, improving from a loss in the same period a year earlier of US$66 million. Whilst in Q4 2022, it recorded net income of US$60 million, increasing from US$33 million in Q4 2021.
