Renewables owner and operator Brookfield Renewable has tripled its US development pipeline to 31GW through the US$650 million acquisition of clean power developer Urban Grid.

Legal proceedings are not over yet, but developers may soon have to retrospectively pay the duties for all imports since 30 July.

TerraForm Power has confirmed that its acquisition by Brookfield remains on track.

Global alternative asset manager Brookfield announced Tuesday that it has entered into a definitive agreement with SunEdison yieldco TerraForm Power, under which Brookfield will assume the role of TerraForm Power’s sponsor and also become the controlling shareholder.
