US residential solar provider SunPower has secured over US$300 million in project financing commitments for its residential solar and storage lease programmes.

US climate investment firm HASI has invested an undisclosed sum into a 605MW solar and solar-plus-storage portfolio owned by US utility AES Corporation.

Summit Ridge Energy and HASI have agreed to build, own and operate a 250MW community solar portfolio in the states of Illinois and Maryland.

Renewables developer Ameresco has closed a US$300 million senior secured loan facility with climate investment firm HASI to fund the development and construction of clean energy projects.

After this transaction, SunPower can provide customers with loan options at tenors of up to 25 years through SunPower Financial.
