Solar has been removed from participating in Brazil’s first renewables auction this year while the second auction has been delayed to 16 December.

The Brazilian government is considering the creation of a credit line for individuals with solar energy systems in the micro and mini generation segment, according to the minister of mines and energy Fernando Coelho Filho.

Brazil installed just 8MW of solar in the 12 month period up to March this year, according to the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME).
