Solar Sunshot programme

On Saturday (31 August), the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) opened the first round of its AUS$1 billion Solar Sunshot programme.

Australia-based solar PV module manufacturer Tindo Solar has inked a new strategic supply agreement with Capral Aluminium to support its domestic production plans.

The Australian federal government has presented the ‘Future Made in Australia Bill 2024’ to bolster renewable energy technologies like solar.

ARENA has launched its global AUS$100 million ‘Solar ScaleUp Challenge’ aiming to stimulate innovation and collaboration in the solar sector.

About AU$2.5 million of the funding will be used to ensure that residential solar modules can avoid landfills and are repurposed for parts.
