Energy trader Axpo has expanded its solar ambitions in Switzerland with the development of 1.2GW of solar PV by 2030 in the Alps and residential areas.
Swiss heterojunction cell and module manufacturer Meyer Burger has landed a long-term supply agreement for up to 5GW of PV modules with D. E. Shaw Renewable Investments (DESRI) as it cut its losses in H1 2022 compared with the same period last year.
Switzerland’s government has launched a consultation on a raft of policies to support renewable energy, including increasing tax incentives for PV projects and streamlining application processes in a bid to “accelerate the development of solar energy production”.
Heterojunction cell and module manufacturer Meyer Burger has raised approximately US$258 million through the placement of shares and green bonds as it looks to accelerate its push into international solar module markets.
