Tata Power Renewable Energy has commissioned a 300MW solar PV project for Indian hydropower company NHPC in Rajasthan. 

The Indian Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has added 4.8GW of annual solar cell nameplate capacity to its Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List-II.

TP Solar, a subsidiary of Tata Power, has commissioned a 4.3GW cell and module manufacturing facility in the state of Tamil Nadu.

The US DFC has announced plans to invest US$425 million into TP Solar, to build a 4.3GW solar cell and module manufacturing plant in India.
