PV Tech Power spoke with Lukas Jakisch of PV testing company TÜV Rheinland about the developments and challenges facing the sector.

The ISO has granted DMEGC Solar its ISO 14067 certification, to hold it to high standards of carbon footprint reporting.

The tests conducted on DMEGC Solar n-type modules include thermal cycling, damp heat, mechanical load, ultraviolet composite, potential induced degradation (PID).

TÜV Rheinland held a ‘Global PV Buyers’ Workshop’, inviting some 20 representatives from the industry’s downstream players to take part. Brookfield Renewable, BayWa, Engie, TotalEnergies and Lightsource BP and others, and companies mainly engaged in development and operations such as ACWA Power, Bouygues and ECADI shared their thinking from different perspectives on module quality and procurement strategies.
