The Solar Foundation's 2015 National Solar Jobs Census found the solar workforce grew more than 20% for the third consecutive year, adding 35,000 solar workers, and now employing nearly 209,000 Americans. Solar jobs have increased 123% since 2010. The solar industry accounted for 1 in 83 jobs created in the past 12 months. Solar employers expect to add 30,000 more solar workers in 2016. US adds over 17,000 solar jobs in 2021, with 40% of all energy jobs now focused on net zero transition

The US solar industry added 17,212 jobs in 2021, up 5.4% on 2020 figures, with 40% of all US energy jobs now focused on the transition to a net zero economy, according to the Department of Energy’s (DOE) US Energy and Employment Report (USEER).
