Yingli Green to implement major ERP software system

Yingli Green, the world's largest vertically PV manufacturer, has entered a strategic partnership agreement with German software company, SAP.

Under the terms of the agreement, Yingli Green Energy will apply SAP's enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and business intelligence solutions.

The implementation of the ERP software and the business intelligence solutions is designed to be accomplished in four phases. Yingli Green Energy expects the first phase of the project to be online in October 2013.

The importance of the deal was underlined by SAP which has appointed its vice president in China as a member of the project steering committee. SAP has also established a supervisory team to ensure the successful completion of the project.
