Cape and Vineyard Electric Cooperative (CVEC) has contracted Broadway Electrical Company with a Round II PV contract to supply a total of 49.4MW energy for projects in Massachusetts. The company will develop, install and operate 44 PV projects in varying sizes, located in the areas of Martha’s Vineyard and Cape Cod. Broadway Electrical will sell the energy through a number of 20-year PPAs.

Charles McLaughlin, President and Town of Barnstable director for CVEC, commented: “CVEC selected Broadway Electrical as its partner for round II of the PV contract because of their wide-ranging track record in facilities around New England, their comprehensive approach to solar projects, and their strong record in meeting performance guarantees. We’re looking forward to the project’s outcomes and the collaboration the partnerships represent. This project, along with the existing renewable energy efforts of CVEC member towns, counties, and the Cape Light Compact’s energy efficiency program, are significant contribution towards a sustainable Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard. The groundwork laid by this project and its project investors will pay great dividends for our town in the years to come.”
