The 21MW installation will be used for military purposes and be grid connected by the end of the year.

A predicted 48GWh will be generated per year with electricity being bought by North Carolina Eastern Municipal Power Agency, as part of a 15-year power purchase agreement.

Dennis She, CEO and president of ET Solar, said installations in North Carolina have reached nearly 260MW, making it the sixth largest solar power generating state in the country and the project for over 5% of total solar system installations in the region.

“We are very proud to be playing such a very meaningful role in facilitating North Carolina's solar industry development,” he said

Chris Dunbar, vice president and COO of FLS Energy, said: “We are very confident with continuing to expand our business strongly in the region.”

ET solar recently supplied another 6.5MW solar project in North Carolina. North Carolina was one of the top five solar states in the US in 2012 for annual installation capacity.
