Ismael Garcia, business developer for Martifer Solar, said: “Our new office in El Salvador will allow Martifer Solar to provide on-the-ground support for our clients in Central America and increase our experience in these emerging markets. We see great potential in this region and believe that this office will be a rewarding endeavor for the company.”

Martifer Solar is currently collaborating with private investors in El Salvador in order to pursue potential utility-scale PV projects.

El Salvador is increasingly becoming an attractive market for PV developers, due to utility-scale tenders being used to spur development, as well as the large amount of solar radiation in the area.

Martifer Solar’s new office will contribute to the already strong foothold that the company has established in Latin America. The developer has already established offices in Chile, Brazil and Mexico, where it completed its largest project in the area – the 30MW AC Aura Solar Plant, located in La Paz.
