Rio Grande do Sul benefits from 1,690kWh per meter squared in solar irradiation annually, the stables rooftop measures 580,000 square metres, of which 430,000 sqm will be used for the array, with 30MW to be grid connected, and 10MW for off-grid energy supply.

Construction of the first phase of the project is scheduled for the beginning of 2014, and should be completed by the end of 2015.

Energy Team Brasil will be responsible for planning, operation and maintenance.
