Adept Technology appoints Robert Malley as VP of global operations

Adept Technology has hired Robert Malley, Jr. to fill the position of vice president for global operations. He will be responsible for planning and managing all aspects of Adept’s worldwide operations in support of the company’s strategic objectives to deliver its robotics systems and services to enable its customers to achieve precision, quality and productivity in their assembly, handling and packaging processes.

Most recently, Malley was chief operating office for MDC Vacuum Products and beforehand vice president of global materials and manufacturing at Intevac. He has also served in a number of executive and management operations roles during 13 years at Applied Materials. He holds a master of science degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford University and a bachelor of science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
