Bio-based PV module backsheet developer, BioSolar claims that a customer is preparing a batch of solar panels with its ‘BioBacksheet’ material for full panel recertification by Underwriter's Laboratories (UL). In March, 2011 the company announced it was supplying sample material for PV module manufacturers based in Asia for evaluation.

“We are highly focused on the sequential development of key customers by diligently helping them through their testing, integration and full panel UL certification process,” commented Dr. David Lee, BioSolar's CEO. “We have a large solar panel customer that is getting ready to submit their panels for full certification, and we are now adding more customers to the pipeline.”
