Camstar doubles first quarter license revenue

Camstar Systems announced that its first quarter license revenue has more than doubled compared to the previous year. The company accounts this increase to a stronger demand and manufacturing sector throughout the world.

“We are excited by the growth in new customer accounts across all of our key geographies,” said Rob Rudder, senior VP. “Growth in North America and Europe is being driven by the rapid adoption of our platform in the Solar and Life Sciences industries. In Asia we are seeing resurgence in the consumer electronics and semiconductor industries, as well as growth in the solar industry. Our expansion in Asia is benefitting global manufacturing enterprises, contract manufacturers, and smaller local companies serviced by our partner network.”

75% of the quarter’s license sales came from new customer accounts, such as life sciences and high tech industries. Investments during the first quarter comprised four of the top 20 worldwide life sciences manufacturers.
