Canadian Solar to supply 5.1MW of modules to SolAmerica Energy

PV energy provider Canadian Solar will supply solar developer and EPC provider SolAmerica Energy with 5.1MW of modules in order to power a group of PV projects in Georgia.

Canadian Solar will serve as the sole module provider for the four plants, which will be completed by December 2014.

The projects will be owned by Citizens Energy Corporation of Boston and will also be made up of Canadian Solar CS6X-310-P photovoltaic modules. Energy produced from the plants will be sold to Georgia Power.

Stanley Allen, president of SolAmerica, said: “As part of the 8 MW of solar projects that SolAmerica will develop and build in Georgia by the end of 2014, these projects will help grow the base of solar energy in Georgia.
