With the home content rules for PV installations in place in Ontario, Canada a growing number of suppliers have been forced to manufacture products in the region for customers to obtain the feed-in tariffs. Although not mentioning its manufacturing partner, Conergy is the latest module manufacturer to establish production in Ontario.

“Due to the high feed-in tariff, Ontario has quickly become the second largest solar market in North America. This growth is going to continue in 2011”, says Tim Wohlgemut from the Toronto based consultancy Clear Sky Advisors, specializing in renewable energy. In this year alone, the solar market in Ontario will more than double and Conergy ON modules will have a home field advantage in this market.
