European PV expert appointed Chief Councillor to China state-owned PV manufacturer

China State-owned start-up Xi’an Huanghe Photovoltaic Technology (Huanghe PV) has recruited former Isofoton S.A. Chief Operations Officer and photovoltaics expert, Emiliano Perezagua Gil as its Chief Councillor. Huanghe PV expects Gil to aid in its efforts to expand internationally, especially in Europe, while advising on technology, product quality control and marketing.

Gil is a holde of several Masters degrees in solar and renewable energy, which include E.O.I, Universidad Iberoamericana, CIEMAT and the Universidad de Jaen. He is also a member of Scientific Committee of European Solar Energy Convention, and Chairman of a Spanish PV energy consultancy firm.

Huanghe PV is now undergoing the construction of crystalline silicon production lines for solar cell and module fabrication, which are expected to be operational by the end of September, 2009.

The company has also secured a distribution agreement in Europe incorporating at 30MW module agreement over three years.
