Several of Europe’s leading solar institutions have placed follow-up orders with Meyer Burger subsidiary Pasan SA for its sun simulators. The simulators will be used to assist the European Solar Test Installation (ESTI), Fraunhofer ISE and TÜV Rheinland to test, calibrate and certify PV modules for use in Europe.

“Our goal is to provide more accurate measurements to our customers, therefore it is important to rely on the best of class module tester,” said Fraunhofer’s Frank Neuberger about the Pasan simulator.

“Equipment for these leading organisations is the same as for customers in the industry. We believe that module producers will increase their awareness of the value of precision. As the precision of performance measurements has a direct impact on the pricing of modules, customers will become more demanding of the quality of their testing equipment,” added Corinne Droz, Pasan’s product manager.
