First Solar adds investor relations role to David Brady, VP of Treasury

David Brady, First Solar’s VP of Treasury is also taking over the role of investor relations, reporting to Mark Widmar, chief financial officer. Former investor relations officer, Larry Polizzotto remains within the company, though no formal position has been chosen. Reasons for the shuffle were not given.

Brady joined First Solar in July 2007 to lead the Treasury department. He has almost 20 years of international corporate and banking experience at companies, including eBay, Salesforce.com, Chiron and Securitas. Brady earned his bachelor of business studies degree from Dublin City University in Dublin, Ireland and has been a chartered financial analyst (CFA) charter holder since 2004.

Polizzotto joined First Solar in April, 2008 as head of investor relations. Prior to joing First Solar he spent time at  IBM and Dell where he held director and senior management roles in investor relations, corporate and strategic planning, finance and business and technology development. Polizzotto earned his MBA in finance and marketing from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business and his bachelor of science degree in engineering from Purdue University.
