The industry will soon be bestowed with the largest global survey of PV installers ever conducted. Armed with the aim of providing a comprehensive market analysis – thereby delivering a much-needed accurate commentary of the world’s markets – EuPD Research will question over 750 installation companies from Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Great Britain, Greece and Belgium to amass data on those countries’ figures from installers’ perspectives.

Over the next six weeks, the Bonn, Germany-based market research firm will consult with installers, system integrators and project developers from the aforementioned countries that are both regionally and internationally active. The intention is to get these front-line workers’ opinions on the installations, company workings and figures announced by both manufacturers and end-customers alike.

The survey will be in four parts: current framework conditions of the markets, leading to a breakdown of installed capacity figures and technology types; an exploration of supply management; market penetration of the manufacturer; and regional positioning, brand and image management. A country comparison of the collected results will then be compiled to highlight the distinctions from market to market.

Those companies that take part in the EU PV InstallerMonitor 2011 can receive a certification from EuPD Research under the TOP BRAND PV stamp according to their results in the survey.
