“In addition to this most recent project, Hanwha SolarOne has supplied modules to a number of Gransolar projects, including two in South Africa that totaled 155 MW. Together, we have achieved success on a global scale, and we look forward to working with this leading PV module provider in the future.” said Juan Pedro Alonso, CEO, Gransolar.

Hanwha has recently signalled its intention to focus on higher value markets, particularly in Japan and Europe.

“Following the adoption of the rigorous price undertaking in the European solar market, solar project profitability is even more dependent upon the long-term performance of PV modules applied,” said Min-Su Kim, president of Hanwha SolarOne, “which is why we are committed to providing high-quality products that translate into success for our customers.”
