In addition, nominations are now being taken for the William R. Cherry Award. Since 1980 the award has been given to a member of the PV community who has greatly influenced the field of photovoltaics. All nominations are due by January 10, 2011, with additional information on the nomination process available here

“The explosion in photovoltaic development worldwide, especially in light of difficult economic conditions, clearly demonstrates the importance of photovoltaics as a critical component to our renewable energy future,” said David Wilt, general chair for 2011. “We anticipate another record number of submitted abstracts and participants for the 37th IEEE PVSC, and we look forward to celebrating our 50th birthday in Seattle next June.”

Registration for the conference will commence in January 2011. Any questions or comments about the 37th IEEE PVSC can be directed to [email protected].
