RECOM Technologies has announced the completion of a unique 1km conveyor belt PV system at a Bavarian gravel plant in cooperation with its partner SINN Power.
The conveyor belt system is a unique solution where the benefits of solar power are achieved without additional land usage, modules being added to the existing substructure of the belt. The installation is therefore permit free and enables construction to start immediately. The project deploys 1,760 RECOM Lion series bifacial heterojunction monocrystalline modules with power output of 470 Watts, delivering total power of 850KWp.
The innovative solution is designed for maximum profitability, with electrical feed-in taking place directly at the conveyor belt without loss of performance. Its robust aluminium structure is built to withstand environmental forces as well as to allow for easy transportation and installation.
