TrinaTracker has announced the signing of a contract to supply 363 MW of solar tracker systems for a PV power plant in Uzbekistan’s Navoi region. This major order marks another milestone for the company in Central Asia, reaffirming its technological expertise, proven product reliability and strong project execution, with the project taking its cumulative supplied capacity in Uzbekistan above 1 GW.

The Navoi project, financed by the China Energy Engineering Overseas Investment Company, will incorporate 7,267 sets of TrinaTracker’s Vanguard 1P single-axis tracking systems.

Located in a region with harsh climatic conditions and complex geology, the project faced significant environmental and engineering challenges. The area experiences summer temperatures of up to 48°C, wind speeds reaching 52.3 m/s and a hard pebble surface layer with particles as large as 200 mm, making construction particularly demanding.

Leveraging its strong technical expertise and extensive project experience, TrinaTracker developed a tailored solution to ensure long-term system reliability. The Vanguard 1P tracker, validated through comprehensive structural analysis and wind tunnel testing, demonstrates exceptional resistance to high winds and extreme temperatures, guaranteeing stable performance over a 25-year lifespan.

The project supports Uzbekistan’s national strategy to increase the share of renewable energy generation to 25% by 2030, playing an important role in the country’s clean energy transition and sustainable growth. Once operational, it will generate approximately 700 million kWh of clean electricity annually, eliminating 220,000 tons of standard coal consumption and 600,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.

“We are delighted to once again take part in Uzbekistan’s green energy development,” commented  TrinaTracker president Álvaro García Maltrás. “The signing of the Navoi project reflects the market’s confidence in our brand and capabilities. We remain committed to delivering high-quality projects and ensuring reliable long-term operation, contributing to a more sustainable future.”
