Last year saw juwi Hellas establish itself as one of the key players in the Greek turnkey solar project sector by installing systems totalling nearly 10MW across the peninsula. The standout development was a 2MW park in Corinth, which was connected to the grid towards the end of the year and is projected to generate 2.8 million kWh of electricity annually. juwi’s Greek subsidiary also built the 1.8MW Githio, 1.5MW Philothei and 1.4MW Drama plants.

“We are active in Greece since October 2008 and are already one of the leading turnkey suppliers“, said Panagiotis Sarris, managing director of juwi Hellas. “Greece is a very interesting market, which grows exponentially. We believe in the market, invest in the market and will increase our presence in 2011. Thus we have already started to develop our own projects.”
