Martifer Solar has installed a 2.88MW rooftop facility in the Czech Republic’s capital city, Prague. The 67,816-square-metre array covers six separate buildings in an out-of-city industrial park and is operated by a third-party.

Due to the array’s need for a perforating system, a purpose-built support structure was required for the modules so as to guarantee its stability and waterproofness. “These 2.88MW were of great complexity, owing mostly to the need of assuring the stability of the buildings and observing the safety of the construction because this installation was laid down in the frame of the buildings,” said Ricardo Meireles, Martifer Solar’s general manager for Northern and Central Europe.

“We are very pleased to see a project of this difficulty successfully completed. It is undoubtedly a work marked by the quality of engineering and construction since it has been adapted to the modern construction of these industrial buildings”, added Meireles.
