JinkoSolar to supply 30MW of PV modules for two solar projects in Virginia

Leading 'Silicon Module Super League (SMSL) member JinkoSolar has announced a 30MW supply deal for two solar projects in Virginia to Hecate Energy —  a leading developer, owner, and operator of power plants in North America.

JinkoSolar's high-efficiency modules are currently being utilised at the 10MW Clarke County project, which is located in Double Tollgate, Virginia. The installation, which was successfully connected in June 2017, is the first of two phases — with another 10MW project scheduled for 2019.

JinkoSolar will also be supplying 20MW of PV panels for the Cherrydale project currently under construction. Located on Virginia's eastern shore, this project marks the first utility-scale solar farm built in Northampton County.

Nigel Cockroft, general manager of JinkoSolar (U.S.) Inc., said: “JinkoSolar is pleased to be working with Hecate Energy on the two notable projects. We are especially pleased to be a contributor to the recent growth of solar in the state of Virginia.”
