Sunlabob has installed off-grid renewable energy services in more than 20 countries in Asia, Africa and the Pacific.

Any Schroeter, CEO of Sunlabob, stated: “This investment underscores Sunlabob’s transition from a Laos-focused start-up to an international-reaching company providing off-grid sustainable energy expertise throughout the developing world.”

The company has provided access to clean energy or water for people “in places ranging from the islands of Micronesia to communities in sub-Saharan Africa,” according to Schroeter.

Sunlabob has worked to provide off-grid power access to governments, multilateral development agencies, non-profit organisations and the private sector, according to the company.

Cyrille Antignac, a partner in the Truestone Global Impact Fund, which focuses its investments on positive social and environmental impacts, said: “Sunlabob has, for years, demonstrated a first-rate understanding of renewable energy engineering and rural community development, a skill-set that is proving valuable not only in Laos but throughout the developing world.”
