Order Focus: Yingli Green supplies 24MW of PV modules to Puerto Rican project

Believed to be the largest solar project in the Caribbean, a 24MW project in Guayama, Puerto Rico, which was recently completed, had been supplied modules for the project by Yingli Green.

According to the tier 1 PV module supplier, around 110,000 ‘YGE 60 Cell Series’ modules were used in the project, which the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) has acquired the output from the plant under a 20-year power purchase agreement.

The project was developed by AES Ilumina, a subsidiary of AES Solar, while Global Energy Services provided EPC services.
