Roth & Rau appoints COO to manage production and integration of acquisitions

Tasked with managing the integration of recently acquired companies as well as being in charge of production, quality management, supply chain amongst other duties, Roth & Rau has appointed former CEO of acquired OTB, Dr. Paul Breddels as its new Chief Operating Officer.

Dr. Breddels most recent position was that of CEO of the Dutch OTB Group. He was involved in the sale of the company’s subsidiary, OTB Solar, to Roth & Rau AG in the first quarter of the year.

He holds a master’s degree in physics and a Ph.D in physics from Utrecht University, Netherlands. He started his career at Philips Research, and later joined Merck KGaA, which included general management positions in Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Germany.

“I am looking forward to my new tasks on the Management Board of Roth & Rau. Apart from integrating OTB Solar, I will focus on optimising costs and structures in the production department to lay an important foundation for the continued profitable growth of the Roth & Rau Group,” commented Dr. Breddels.
