SECP said that the Boulder City plant will add to its portfolio of more than 400MW of solar projects in the southwestern United States. For Posco Power, the deal represents its first overseas renewable energy project developed without the involvement of the parent company, Posco.

PV-Tech attempted repeatedly to contact Santa Ana, CA-based SECP for more details about the partnership and the project, without success.

As a result, information such as the monetary value of the deal, financing arrangements, utility company role, power rating represented by the 300MW cited (AC or DC), types of modules and BOS components to be deployed, precise location of the site, and timeline for design/construction/interconnection of the project remain undisclosed.
