Sol Systems expands Washington DC base

Sol Systems has expanded its Washington DC base with five new recruits as it looks to aide business growth and maintaining customer service standards. The company said it hopes to continue expanding in the coming months.

Ben Margolis is the new director of project finance; aiding Sol Systems’ developer advisors and supporting asset management, project development, execution and operations for investors. Margolis previously worked in international project management business development for SunEdison and holds an MBA from University of Virginia's Darden School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Maryland.

Sol Systems has also recruited Alexandra Mas, previously working at a prominent Maryland-based solar installer, and Chris LaClair, a senior developer with ten years of experience in software development. Two other additions include graduates from Georgetown University, Thomas Larson and Victoria Ngare.

“We are proud to welcome such smart, passionate, and energetic talent to our team,” said Stephanie Smith, general counsel and executive vice president of operations.

Sol Systems said it will continue to grow in providing project financing for commercial operations and sourcing new solar investors. The company has already financed 54MW of solar projects across the US.
