Solea, OSP and Solar Provider launch new JV for utility-scale solar farms in North America

It was recently announced that Solea AG, Ontario Solar Provider (OSP) and Solar Provider Group have formed Solea SP, a JV with a focus on utility-scale ground mounted solar farms in North America. Head-quartered in Toronto, Canada, with a satellite office in San Francisco, Solea SP advised that additions to its management team will be released in the following weeks.

OSP and Solar Provider will undertake all responsibility for sales, permitting and procurement while Solea manages the construction, financing and bond for the planned large-scale projects. The JV will be present at several upcoming solar conferences and trade shows, including Intersolar North America and Solar Power International.

Georg Sterner, Solea's CFO, stressed that “our focus is solar EPC and bringing best practices from Germany combined with Solar Provider's understanding of the local markets, will enable us to execute projects in Ontario, California, and beyond.” OSP's president Sebastian Seyfarth added, “teaming up with Solea, one of the largest solar EPC companies globally will further strengthen our position in cost-effective and on-time construction at a utility scale.”
