SolidMarks announces 2.7MW project in northern Italy

MAGE Solar and IdeemaSun energy, founding companies of SolidMarks, have announced a contract for a 2.7MW project in Northern Italy. The project will span over two locations – Bodino and Torino.

The 1.7MW project ‘Pirelli’ in Bodino is for a rooftop system equipped with 23,445 First Solar modules as well as an SMA inverter central station used with the IdeemaTec SafeTec assembly system. The utilization of this roof surface of approximately 14,000m2 will result in a solar power plant with a nominal capacity of 1,699.76kW.

The plant will be equipped with thin-film modules from First Solar, who will cater for the rooftop entire specification. The core of the plant consists of two SMA 500 HE units in a compact station with specialized air handling concept. 

Project ‘Rollo’ in Torino, an open air plant with a capacity of 1MW will be home to 4,544 mono-crystalline MAGE powertec Plus modules and an SMA inverter central station. The Ideematec tracking system safeTrack ST 25 will be used as the mounting system.

The total surface area of approximately 40,000m2 will result in a solar power plant with a nominal capacity of 999.68kW. By use of a single-axle tracking system with a construction height of three meters the modules will receive continuous optimal sun exposure and function at highest efficiency. The specific annual yield has been appraised to be > 1500 kWh/kWp and as a result will provide energy to about 70 households.

Solidmarks is also planning another ready-to-build project in Val Di Susa, Italy. This project has already been developed and its construction permit issued.
