Arthur Rudin and Robert Muhn have joined SoloPower as the new VP of product development and general manager of sales, respectively. Combined the two solar veterans bring 60 years of experience in the solar industry to the company.
Rudin will draw from his 30 years of PV industry experience to guide the company’s CIGS product development. His most recent position saw him as VP of product development and systems engineering at Solar Integrated Technologies. His previous positions include director of engineering at the Solar Energy Solutions Group of Sharp and his career start at Shell Solar Industries. Rudin has been involved in standards development for the PV industry with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. He has also held positions with the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners, SolarTech Committee and the PV Assistance Center Board. Rudin received his BS in electrical engineering from Northeastern University and earned a certificate of achievement in direct energy conversion from Arizona State.

Robert Muhn comes to SoloPower from Kyocera Solar where he was previously overlooked the company’s sales to the grid-connected, off-grid industrial and rural electrification markets in the Americas and Australia. He has also worked for AstroPower, implementing a global sales strategy and co-managed a manufacturing and sales JV with Atersa in Spain. His past work has seen him with Siemens/ Arco Solar delivering new products to market and overseeing the company’s Latin America business operations. Muhn has served as a subcontractor to Sandia National Labs and the US Department of Energy. He earned his BS in engineering from the University of Colorado and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
