Soltec to supply 46MW of PV trackers to Yingli Chile project

Soltec is supplying trackers to four Yingli solar PV power plants totalling 46MW, located in the outskirts of Copiapó, in the Atacama Desert, Chile.

The four plants, named Malaquita, Cachiyuyo, Valle Solar Este, and Valle Solar Oeste have 11.5MW capacity each and are being developed by Chinese firm Yingli Solar.

Soltec’s strong manufacturing and supply capacity enables customer project success,” said José María Celdrán, Soltec’s regional general manager for Argentina, Chile, and Peru.

We expect to increase our committed volume in the short term,” declared Fernando Calisalvo, managing director at Yingli Green Energy Europe.
