US cell manufacturer ES Foundry is proceeding with expansion plans despite a six-month delay due to recent trade and tax credit policy uncertainties.

US-based solar module manufacturer Bila Solar has begun production at its manufacturing facility in Indiana.

ES Foundry has signed a 150MW cell supply deal with what it calls a “leading national community solar developer” in the US.

The deal follows the start of production at ES Foundry’s 3GW nameplate capacity manufacturing plant in January.

The site will produce 3GW of passivated emitter rear contact (PERC) crystalline silicon solar cells by Q3 2025, ES Foundry said in an announcement.
